The British Expeditionary Force of 1916 was vastly different from the Old Contemptibles who had come across the Channel in 1914, and this was a very different army from its German adversary and even its French ally.

Great series, I’m coming to it late, but I’m catching up. I came to it from recently finding the Battle of Verdun podcast. If you are taking requests for future episodes, why not the Battle of Cambrai (1917)?
A nitpicking comment about Ep. 5, Newfoundland did not join Confederation until 1949, so calling the Newfoundland Regiment a Canadian regiment would be incorrect.

Please nitpick away! Thank you for the correction regarding the Newfoundland Regiment. Would it be better to call them a Dominion unit?
